Once in every generation an artist emerges with a style that is truly inspirational. With exceptional instinct, a trained eye, and disciplined hands; John Szabo is such an artist.
Szabo has broken away from his contemporaries to achieve a new level of excellence and he has formed a new movement and style of his own. There can be no doubt after viewing the depth and power of his work, `that Szabo is truly a master of design and sculpture.
The imagination, creativity and energy in his sculptures bring a whole new level to modern art. His sculptures have a power of their own. They are alive with movement and reach out to those elusive goals we all want to achieve. They tell us stories and ask us questions.
Szabo was born in Hungary. He has shown artistic talent since his early years. He furthered his education in institutes of Austria and Italy where he earned his diploma in art.
On Szabo’s return to Hungary, he began developing the unique style that has evolved into his present work.
However, with the Communist system repressing and stifling his creativity, Szabo left everything behind and immigrated to United States in 1983.He moved to Southern California, opened a studio, and began creating sculptures again.
Szabo’s primary medium is bronze sculpture.
Szabo has shown his work throughout Europe and this country. Collectors consider his work to be valued additions to their collections.
